The Floating trunk offers a more relaxed stance for concepts which lack a proper home. It may be that these concepts are new and poorly understood, or that they have a hybrid nature which makes them difficult to place, or that the supporting infrastructure doesn’t yet exist.

Its uses are many, but all serve the same basic purpose of preserving the existing harmony in the rest of the map by setting aside concepts which wouldn’t fit smoothly in the place they would otherwise want to live.
